Unfortunately it is against company policy to include the mail headers here in entirety but there are definitely weird things happening.

We are a Google Apps company and hence use gmail but firstly it goes to an internal smtp server and mailman mailing list (which adds the [eastcoast_admins] subject ) before being forwarded to Google via a tortuous route of Postini servers.
I note the very strange appearance of "X"s in the body when compared to yours?
It seems odd that when it gets down to

My mind goes back to William's original warning on the ghetto site about unpredictable results from different smtp servers when using this netcat mailing system?
