Thanks for this post. It definitely saved me some time. I'd like to hear from a VMware rep on whether or not this is a widespread problem. This is not discussed in any of the documentation and I did experience this in a full scale out deployment (not virtual appliance). After fiddling with network config files in CentOS 6.3, both NICs were working fine for a period of time. Then one of the NICs stopped broadcasting and couldn't be pinged. Only solution was the one mentioned here. Any input is appreciated.
