update cannot work

I can get latest update by issueing "vamicli update --check" at first. I just modified the version number in the manifest-latest.xml file in the website, now even I restored the manifest-latest.xml, it displays the information below. How can I fix it? This is critical for me because if this cannot be fixed, all the customers cannot update.

Failure: Error validating the digital signature of the update manifest.  Please contact your vendor.
